ALBANY, N.Y. - The ECAC Hockey women’s weekly award winners have been announced, and Anne Bloomer (Harvard), Grace Lee (Yale), and Tera Hofmann (Yale) have all been honored for the week ending November 10, 2019.
Player of the Week
Bloomer (So. - Chicago, Ill.) put together a five point (3G, 2A) weekend for Harvard, helping the team move to 5-0-0 on the season. In Friday’s 6-2 win over No. 7/7 Princeton, the sophomore scored a pair of goals and added an assist. She followed it up with a clutch goal on Saturday, scoring the game-winner against Quinnipiac in overtime to cap off the weekend.
Rookie of the Week
Lee (Fr. - Boulder, Colo.) also registered five points over the weekend, as the Bulldogs continued their hot start to the season with a weekend sweep of Union and RPI. The rookie forward recorded her first-career hat trick in Saturday’s 5-0 win over the Dutchwomen, and added an assist in each game to lead the team in scoring.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Hofmann (Sr. - Toronto, Ont.) did not allow a goal all weekend, extending her shutout streak to three straight games. The Bulldog net minder stopped 17 shots against Union on Friday, and another 15 in Saturday’s win over RPI, helping Yale improve to 5-1 on the young season.
