ALBANY, N.Y. - The ECAC Hockey women’s weekly awards have been announced, and Becca Gilmore (Harvard), Gabrielle David (Clarkson), and Lindsay Browning (Cornell) have all been honored for the week ending November 3, 2019.
Women’s Player of the Week
Gilmore (Jr. - Wayland, Mass.) helped the Crimson to a 2-0 weekend in ECAC Hockey play, leading the team with four points (2G, 2A). Both of her tallies came in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Yale, matching a career-high for the junior forward.
Women’s Rookie of the Week
David (Fr. - Drummondville, Que.) continued to build on an already impressive start to her collegiate career, registering five more points this weekend. David dished out a pair of assists in Friday’s 4-0 win over Union, before scoring twice (including one short-handed goal) and adding another assist in the Golden Knights’ 5-4 win over RPI on Saturday.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Browning (Jr. - Penfield, N.Y.) earns her second consecutive MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week award after allowing just one goal in two games this weekend. The junior sent aside all 14 shots in a 1-0 win over Quinnipiac on Friday, before stopping 23 of 24 to help the Big Red to a 4-1 win over No. 5/6 Princeton on Saturday.
