ALBANY, N.Y. - The ECAC Hockey women’s weekly awards have been announced, and Anna Segedi (St. Lawrence), Alexa Hoskin (Quinnipiac), and Liz Auby (Colgate) have all been honored.
Segedi (Fr. - Commerce Township, Mich.) had a monster weekend for the Saints, leading the team with seven points (5G, 2A) in the two games at New Hampshire. After scoring her first collegiate goal early in the second period on Thursday, she followed it up with two more later in the game to register her first hat-trick in just the third game of her career. She didn’t slow down on Friday, scoring two more goals and adding a pair of assists as part of a 5-5 tie.
Hoskin (Fr. - Belleville, Ont.) scored her first career goal, and the first goal of the season for the Bobcats on Friday, helping the team to a 2-1 win. It didn’t take long for the rookie, as the power-play tally came in the first period against Providence. She also added an assist in Saturday’s contest, giving her a multi-point weekend.
Auby (Sr. - Stoughton, Wisc.) backstopped the Raiders to a 1-0-1 weekend, sending aside 51 of the 55 shots she faced against Mercyhurst. She finished the weekend with a .927 save percentage and 1.92 GAA. She now ranks in the top-three in the league in saves (first - 101), GAA (second - 1.85), and save percentage (third - .927).
