ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly honor roll for the week ending December 2, 2018, and players from Colgate, Harvard, and Princeton have all been selected after each leading their teams to undefeated weekends.
Colgate’s Shae Labbe has been named Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Raiders to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents. The senior scored two goals, including the game-winner in Colgate’s 4-1 win over No. 3 Clarkson on Friday. She followed that performance up with another goal, and added an assist in the Raiders convincing 5-1 win over No. 9 St. Lawrence Saturday afternoon. Her three goals this weekend gave her 50 for her career.
Sarah Fillier led the league in scoring this weekend, as her five points helped lead No. 10 Princeton to a weekend sweep of Quinnipiac. The freshman dished out three assists on Friday before scoring a pair of goals in Saturday’s 4-1 win, earning herself Rookie of the Week honors.
Lindsay Reed continues to impress for the Crimson, earning Goalie of the Week after recording the first two shutouts of her career on back-to-back nights. She made 26 saves in Harvard’s 2-0 win over RPI on Friday before backing that up with a 34-save shutout on Saturday to lead the Crimson over Union. She’s the first Harvard goalie to record shutouts in two straight games since November of 2015.
