ALBANY, N.Y. - After an action-packed month of November, three ECAC Hockey women stood out from the pack. Clarkson’s Elizabeth Giguere, Harvard’s Kristin Della Rovere, and Princeton’s Rachel McQuigge have all been recognized for their outstanding play throughout the month.
Giguere led the league in scoring in November, registering 15 points (3G, 12A), scoring a point in six of Clarkson’s seven games during the month. She currently leads the nation in scoring (32 points), and ranks second in scoring average, tallying two points-per-game. The sophomore also posted the best plus/minus in the league (+13). She recorded four multi-point games during the month, including a four point (2G, 2A) performance in the ECAC Hockey opener against Union on November 2.
Della Rovere earns Rookie of the Month honors after closing out November on a strong note, finishing out the month on a four-game point streak. She ended up with seven points on three goals and four assists, including two game-winning goals. Her biggest game of the month came on November 20 when she recorded a goal and two assists as part of a 7-3 win for the Crimson over Holy Cross.
McQuigge went undefeated in net during the month of November, posting a 3-0-3 record while earning six ECAC Hockey points for the league-leading Tigers. She finished the month with 163 saves on 173 shots for a save percentage of .942, allowing just 1.6 goals-per-game. The sophomore posted a 33-save shutout against now No. 10-ranked Colgate on November 16, helping Princeton to a 6-0 win.
