The Big Red is now 9-2-5 on the season and 7-2-1 in ECAC Hockey play, while Quinnipiac drops to 7-13-3 overall and to 6-7-1 in league play.

After two scoreless periods, Lexie Laing lit the lamp 17 seconds into the third period to give the Crimson what it needed for the 1-0 win. Lindsay Reed helped make the case with 27 saves in net, including 15 in the third period.

The two teams played to a 3-3 tie at the Pegula Ice Arena.
