Harvard falls to No. 4 Clarkson

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's hockey team (11-13-3, 9-9-2 ECAC Hockey) dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker in overtime to No. 4/4 Clarkson (24-71, 15-5-0 ECAC Hockey) on Senior Day at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Senior Kaitlin Tse and rookie Kristin Della Rovere lit the lamp for Harvard while netminder Lindsay Reed made 48 saves between the pipes. 

Both teams scored in the first period, Harvard taking the first crack at the scoreboard just 3:41 into the game. Clarkson would secure a 2-1 lead by the end of the second, and the Crimson would respond to tie the game at 12:18 of the third. With 4.9 seconds remaining on the clock, Clarkson scored its golden goal to take the ECAC Hockey win. 

Harvard Highlights

  • Bradley Fusco, captain Kate Hallett, captain Lexie Laing and Kaitlin Tse played their final collegiate games at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
  • Lindsay Reed made 48 saves in net and has now made 45 saves or more in four of her last five outings.
  • Krisitn Della Rovere extended her goal streak to five games, dating back to Feb. 8 at Union.

Harvard will return to the ice next weekend for its final regular season games of the year at Brown and Yale.
