PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's hockey team was defeated by Quinnipiac, 4-2, on Saturday at Meehan Auditorium. The Bobcats held off a late push by the Bears as freshmen Lizzy Gross(Scarborough, Maine) and Shay Maloney (McHenry, Ill.) scored in the second and third period, respectively.

Brown was 3-for-3 on the penalty kill in the second and went 1-for-1 on the power play.
