ITHACA, N.Y. – The Union College women's hockey team stumbled against #6 Cornell, 7-0, Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Big Red scored a pair of goals in the opening four minutes of the game, then added a third late in the period to take a 3-0 lead into the second period.
- To open the second period, Cornell converted a power play opportunity to take a four-goal lead. The hosts added another tally 8:14 into the period and led 5-0 heading into the final frame.
- Cornell scored two late goals in the third period to secure a 7-0 victory.
- Junior goaltender Amelia Murray and sophomore goaltender Coco Francis combined for 29 saves in the Dutchwoman net.
The Dutchwomen return to the ice tomorrow, Feb. 2, facing #10/8 Colgate at 3:00 p.m. (ET)
