CANTON, N.Y. – The Harvard women's hockey team (5-11-3, 4-8-2 ECAC Hockey) skated to a scoreless tie this afternoon at St. Lawrence (12-11-3, 7-5-2 ECAC Hockey). Beth Larcom kept the Crimson alive, recording 33 saves through 64:49 to post a clean sheet in her second appearance of the season. The offensive units combined for 27 shots on target, led by Kat Hughes with six, but were unable to break through the Saints' netminder.
St. Lawrence held a slight advantage in shots (33-29) and faceoffs (33-29), but went 0-for-5 on the power-play and took six penalties, including a tripping call with 28 seconds remaining in overtime. Harvard was able to keep the pace fast and created multiple opportunities in front of the net throughout the matchup.
