Vans toe scores again as Yale falls to No. 6 Clarkson

Potsdam, N.Y. -- Yale's top scorer, first-year forward Rebecca Vanstone, buried her fourth goal in three games in Friday night's 5-1 loss to No. 6 Clarkson (17-5-1, 8-3-0) at Cheel Arena.

In her third consecutive game with a goal scored, Vanstone pushed home the setup from first-year defenseman Emma Seitz and first-year forward Charlotte Welch on the Yale power play. Welch recorded her team-leading 10th assist on the play.

On her birthday, Seitz recorded her sixth assist of the season and has 6 points (1 G, 5 A) since the start of the second half.

Between the pipes, junior netminder Tera Hofmann saw 40 shots from Clarkson and made 35 saves.

Clarkson got on the board eight seconds into regulation just one game removed from Emma Vlasic's eight-second score against Brown.

The Bulldogs are back in action on the road tomorrow afternoon against St. Lawrence at 1:00 p.m.
