PRINCETON, N.J. - After starting 2018 with back to back shutout wins, the Yale Bulldogs couldn't continue their magic against Princeton on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers and Bulldogs battled all game long, but Princeton took a close 3-0 win.

Princeton (8-10-4, 7-8-1 ECAC) got two early goals from Carly Bullock to take a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Tigers would add one final marker in the third period to seal the win.

Yale (5-10-4, 3-7-2) had won two straight going into Saturday, both against ECAC foe Quinnipiac without allowing a goal. This time, the Bulldogs couldn't solve Princeton's Stephanie Neatby on her way to a 21 save shutout.

Despite recent success, the Yale power play was unable to find the back of the net, going 0-4 in the game. The Bulldogs entered third in the nation in power play conversion rate at 27.7 percent.
