Dutchwomen blanked by Huskies

STORRS, Conn. – The Union College women's ice hockey team fell to UConn this afternoon, after being shut out 5-0.
 
Four different Huskies scored in today's match up. The Dutchwomen would go down quickly in the first period and head into the second facing a 3-0 deficit. UConn's Natalie Snodgrass would score back to back unassisted goals in the second period to ultimately secure the Huskies second victory over Union.
 
Inside the Box Score:

  • First year Megan Ryan led the Dutchwomen with three shots on goal.
  • Sierra Lee won eight face offs in this afternoon's game.
  • UConn out-shot the Dutchwomen just 26-24.
  • Kate Spooner had 15 saves.

 
The Dutchwomen return to action on October 27 to take on Brown at Messa Rink.
