Princeton Falls at Harvard

Junior Keiko DeClerck is on a three-game goal scoring streak as she net her fourth goal of the season in a 4-1 loss at Harvard on Saturday night.

Harvard took a 1-0 lead in the first period after a scrum in front of the net. Val Turgeon was credited with the goal as she got the final touch on the puck as netminder Alysia DaSilva was on her back in the crease before Chelsea Ziadie wrestled it out from under her. Turgeon added her second of the game at the close of the game, on an extra-attacker 6x4 power-play goal.

DeClerck's goal at 5:35 of the second evened the game at 1-1. Sylvie Wallin, who had a two-point night including the game-winning goal last night at Dartmouth, got the play started in the corner as she won a puck battled and pushed the puck to Kiersten Falck. Falck bounced the puck off the half wall to the stick of DeClerck and she skated up the middle of the ice and went fivehole on Beth Larcom.

Haley Mullins regained the edge for the Crimson at 16:39 as Harvard was patient in the offense zone and the Tigers weren't able to clear it out before Mullins got open just outside the goal mouth.

Brooke Jovanovich scored her fifth goal of the season when she split her D and went top shelf at 13:04 of the third.

DaSilva finished the game with 31 saves for the Tigers as they were 0 for 4 on the power play. Larcom stopped 32 shots for the Crimson, who went went 1 for 5.

Princeton will play travel partner Quinnipiac in a home-and-home series next weekend, Dec. 8 & 9. Game 1 is at Hobey Baker Rink, Friday night at 6 p.m.
