TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced the signing of ECHL veteran defenseman Ray DiLauro, a former St. Lawrence standout.
A native of Bensalem, Pa., DiLauro last played in the ECHL with the Fresno Grizzlies in 2005-06. He also spent time in Reading (2001-03), Columbus (2003-04) and Wheeling (2004-05), earning ECHL Defenseman of the Year and All-Star honors with the Nailers.
A four-year starter at St. Lawrence and a ninth-round selection by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, also has 62 games of American Hockey League experience with Binghamton, Manchester, Springfield and Cleveland.
DiLaurio also played in Europe with Krefeld and Duisburg (Germany), Linz (Austria) and Bolzano HC (Italy). He was last active in 2010-11 with the Missouri Mavericks of the CHL, appearing in 65 games and scoring 39 points (10 goals, 29 assists).
