Burgdoerfer Scores Deal with Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma City Barons have agreed to terms with former Rensselaer defenseman Erik Burgdoerfer on an American Hockey League contract, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced. Burgdoerfer played for the Bakersfield Condors the last four seasons.

The East Setauket, N.Y., native was named captain of the Condors in January 2013 and played 202 games for Bakersfield, registering 53 points (11-42-53). Burgdoerfer played at RPI for four years and was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team in 2009-10. He played two junior seasons with the New York Apple Core (EJHL) where he was an All-EJHL selection. Burgdoerfer also represented the United States at the National Under-16 and Under-17 Festivals in 2004 and 2005.
