Iowa Wild Sign Michael Sdao

DES MOINES, IA – Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced on Tuesday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed defenseman Michael Sdao.

Sdao, 28 (7/3/89), played in two games for Iowa in 2016-17, scoring a goal for his only point. He also played in 61 games for the ECHL’s Colorado Eagles, placing third overall on the team with 177 minutes in penalties, while scoring nine goals and totaling 13 points.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder has played in 137 AHL games over his four-year career, scoring ten goals and setting up 13 others for 23 points, to go along with 336 minutes in penalties. The Niwot, CO native was originally drafted in the seventh round (#191 overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
