Life’s first challenge, as ordained by the Oracle at Delphi, is to know one’s self. And it would seem, to the certain amusement of anyone who’s ever interviewed him, that Ken Dryden does.

“I talk long,” the Hall of Fame goaltender wrote recently, in an article promoting his new book on the concussion crisis in hockey.

That he most certainly does.
