Clarkson Hockey Among Nation's Elite

Backstopped by two of the best goaltenders in the country, the Clarkson University Men's and Women's Hockey teams continue to be ranked among the elite Division I programs in the country.

Senior Shea Tiley (Owen Sound, ONT) has started all 14 games between the pipes for the Clarkson Women and sophomore Jake Kielly (Eden Prairie, MN) has played every minute in the crease for the Golden Knight Men. Tiley leads all Division I women goaltenders in shutouts with six and set the program record for career whitewashes with 30 after blanking Vermont in a 4-0 win on Saturday at Cheel Arena. Kielly tops the nation in men's shutouts with three.

Owning an 11-2-1 overall record and a 3-1 ECAC Hockey mark (tied for second in the standings), the Clarkson Women are ranked 4th in the latest poll. The defending national champions, the Golden Knights boast the third-best defense in Division I (allowing only 1.21 goals per games) and the fourth-rated offense (4.07 GPG). The Green and Gold return to ECAC Hockey action this weekend hosting Quinnipiac at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Princeton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Cheel Arena.
