    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Ben Scrivens stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Cornell men's hockey team claimed the 2010 ECAC Hockey championship with a 3-0 shutout over Union on Saturday night at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The shutout was the third straight for the senior netminder, who broke his own school-record shutout streak with the victory.

Big Red goalkeeper Ben Scrivens had 23 saves to capture the shutout as Cornell improves to 20-8-4 on the season and extends its unbeaten streak to five games.

    Junior defenseman Matt Raley scored the game winning goal with just 1:07 to go in regulation time, lifting St. Lawrence University to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over Colgate University Saturday night and into the ECAC semifinals as the Saints completed a two-game sweep of the fourth-seeded Raiders in a best-of-three quarterfinal series.St. Lawrence, 19-14-7, won a best of three series at Colgate for the first time in four tries and will meet an opponent to be determined Friday in Albany.

    SCHENECTADY, NY -- Behind a strong defensive effort the 17th-ranked and third-seeded Union College men's ice hockey team forced a game three in the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory against seventh-seeded Quinnipiac on Saturday night at Messa Rink. After the Bobcats (20-17-2) took game one, 3-2, in the longest game in NCAA history, the Dutchmen (19-11-6) responded with its school-record-tying 19th victory of the season.

The Yale men’s hockey team not only needed a win to stay in the conference playoffs and potentially keep the season alive, the Elis needed to show they could bounce back from consecutive losses for the first time in 2009-10. Tonight’s mission was accomplished with a 6-3 victory before 2,939 at Ingalls Rink to set up a winner-take-all game three Sunday night at the Whale.

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Greg Holt (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal at the 10:32 mark of the fifth overtime as the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team defeated No. 16 Union in the first game of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals at Messa Rink in Schenectady, N.Y. The game was also the longest in NCAA Division I history at 150:22. Quinnipiac also improves to 20-16-2 overall for its 10th 20-win season out of the last 12 years.

The Bears scored one goal in each of the three periods, building a 3-0 lead, and then held on for the 3-2 win after an intense third period comeback attempt by RPI and a pair of Engineers' goals in the third period.

Quinnipiac takes a 1-0 lead in the series, and improves to 9-1 all-time in the first round of the ECAC Hockey tournament, including a 7-1 mark at the TD Bank Sports Center.
