    ALBANY, NY -- Missed opportunities hampered the Clarkson University Hockey team’s bid to knock off top-ranked Michigan in the NCAA East Regional Championship as the Wolverines held the Golden Knights off the scoreboard en route to a 2-0 victory on Saturday night at the Times Union Center in Albany.

    MADISON, Wis. -- The final score sheet said that North Dakota defeated the Princeton men's hockey team 5-1 in the first round of the NCAA Regional, but Princeton doubled the Fighting Sioux in shots and carried the play against the region's top seed for most of the afternoon. Sophomore Cam MacIntyre scored Princeton's lone goal in the game.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Senior goaltender David Leggio (Williamsville, NY) backboned a stingy defensive effort and senior David Cayer (Lonqueuil, QUE) and junior Shea Guthrie (Carleton Place, ONT) provided timely goals as the Clarkson University Hockey team recorded its first win in NCAA Tournament play in 11 years by defeating St. Cloud State 2-1 Friday in the first round of the East Regional.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Senior Mike Moore had a goal and an assist and sophomore goaltender Zane Kalemba made 35 saves as the 15th-ranked Princeton men’s hockey team defeated Harvard 4-1 to win the 2008 ECAC Hockey Tournament and secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

    ALBANY, N.Y.—The No. 16 Harvard men’s hockey team got two power-play goals from senior Jon Pelle and a superb, 31-save performance from sophomore Kyle Richter to defeat No. 20 Cornell, 3-1, in the semifinals of the Bank of America ECAC Hockey Championship Friday night at the Times Union Center.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Sophomore goaltender Zane Kalemba made 27 saves to record his third shutout of the postseason and lead the 15th-ranked Princeton men's hockey team to the ECAC Hockey Championship game with a 3-0 win over Colgate in the semifinals on Friday afternoon at the Times Union Center. Freshman Matt Arhontas scored to give the Tigera 1-0 lead at 8:04 of the third period.

    POTSDAM, NY -– Sophomore David McIntyre (Pefferlaw, Ont.) scored 7:36 into the second overtime to lift the Colgate men’s hockey team to a 3-2 victory over No. 7 Clarkson on Sunday, Mar. 16, at Cheel Arena. The win gives the Raiders a berth in the ECAC Hockey Championship at the Times Union Center in Albany next weekend, Mar. 21-22, as they take the quarterfinal series in three games.

The Crimson posted a 3-1 win against Quinnipiac Sunday night at Bright Hockey Center in the deciding third game of the teams’ Bank of America ECAC Hockey Championship quarterfinal series.

    CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Dan Henningson (Edmonton, Alb.) and Jamie Bates (Toronto, Ont.) scored twice and Ben Nelson (Spokane, Wash.) added a goal and four assists as Quinnipiac answered an 11-0 drubbing by Harvard in the first game of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals with a convincing 7-4 win over the Crimson to even the series, 1-1. Both teams square off on Sunday night for the third and deciding game of the series.

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Last weekend, it was senior Raymond Sawada that lifted the Big Red on his back and carried them to an ECAC Hockey First-Round series win over Dartmouth. In game one of the quarterfinals at Messa Rink in Schenectady, it was classmate Chris Fontas who rose to the occasion, scoring a pair of goals as the Big Red took a 3-2 victory over Union on Friday night.

The Colgate victory forces a decisive third game, which will be played on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

    HAMDEN, CT -- David Marshall’s (Buffalo, Minn.) game-winning goal 11:58 into overtime ended a wild, 7-6, ECAC Hockey First-Round affair Friday night at the TD Banknorth Sports Center. With the win, the Bobcats take the first of the best-of-three series. The seven goals are the most scored by a Quinnipiac team in the Bobcats’ three-year history in league tournament play.
