ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey was once again well represented in the annual NHL Entry Draft with the selection of seven future student-athletes and two current players on June 27-28, 2014, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, P.A., hosted by the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. Brown and Cornell led the way with two student-athletes selected each, while Clarkson, Harvard, Quinnipiac, Rensselaer and Union each had one incoming player selected.

Coming off its best season in six years, the Clarkson University Men's Hockey team will look to build upon the momentum generated last winter when it opens its 93rd season of play in 2014-15. The Golden Knights, guided by fourth-year head coach Casey Jones and assistant Phil Roy '00 and Andy Jones, will face a challenging 34-game regular-season schedule, including 16 games at Cheel Arena. Clarkson will play eight games against four schools that participated in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, including a pair of ECAC Hockey contests against the defending national champions.
TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey captains have been announced and senior defenseman Curtis Leonard will wear the 'C' throughout the 2014-15 season. Classmates Luke Curadi, Matt Neal and Mark McGowan, are the alternate captains. The announcement was made by ninth-year head coach Seth Appert.
PRINCETON (6/17/14) – Ron Fogarty, who leads all active NCAA coaches in win percentage, has been named the head men’s hockey coach at Princeton University. Fogarty has spent the past seven seasons as head coach at NCAA Division III Adrian College (Adrian, Mich.).

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior forward Cole Ikkala and senior defenseman Mat Bodie have been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America Division I Men's At-Large Team. The announcement was made today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Dutchmen pair were among just six hockey players chosen from a national field of candidates representing 12 different sports.
Willie Mitchell, an All-American defenseman for the Golden Knights in 1999, became the fifth Clarkson University Hockey alumnus to have his name etched upon the Stanley Cup when the Los Angeles King won the National Hockey League championship in 2012.
