ALBANY, N.Y. - The ECAC Hockey men’s weekly awards have been announced, and Casey Dornbach (Harvard), Ben Berard (Cornell), and Frank Marotte (Clarkson) have all been honored for the week ending November 24, 2019.
Player of the Week
Dornbach (So. - Edina, Minn.) made the most of the Crimson’s lone contest this weekend, recording a hat trick in a 6-3 win over RPI. The hat trick was the first of his career, and moved him into first on the team in scoring for the year with 12 points (5G, 7A).
Rookie of the Week
Berard (Fr. - Duncan, B.C.) recorded two points this weekend (1G, 1A) to help the Big Red remain unbeaten on the season, their first 8-0 start since 1971-72. He had the primary assist on the game-winning goal in Friday’s 2-1 win over Quinnipiac, before burying his first collegiate goal on Saturday against Princeton.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Marotte (Sr. - Longueuil, Que.) turned aside 47 of the 49 shots he faced this weekend to help Clarkson remain unbeaten in ECAC Hockey play with wins over Brown and Yale. The senior finished the weekend with a 0.98 GAA and .959 save percentage.
