Yale Pours on the Shots but Can’t Solve Hot Goalie

The Yale Men's Hockey Team out shot No. 13 Harvard 42-28 but the Crimson cashed on in more grade A opportunities in a 6-1 decision at Ingalls Rink.

Harvard goalie Cameron Gornet stopped 41 of 42 shots to keep his team unbeaten at 5-0-0.

Despite constant offensive pressure and numerous quality Yale scoring chances, the visitors scored the game's first five goals before senior forward Mitchell Smith got the home team on the board with a slap shot from the slot.

Senior goalie Corbin Kaczperski got the decision with 19 saves over the first 51 minutes and made some top-notch stops. Junior Nicholas MacNab (3 saves) went the rest of the way.

The Bulldogs (1-5-0, 1-5-0 ECAC) return to the Whale next weekend to host St. Lawrence and Clarkson.
