ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey has announced its weekly awards for the week ending November 18, 2018, and players from Harvard, Quinnipiac, and Clarkson have all been honored. Harvard’s Lewis Zerter-Gossage takes home Player of the Week honors, while Quinnipiac’s Wyatt Bongiovanni takes Rookie of the Week, and Clarkson’s Jake Kielly earns his second Goalie of the Week honors of the season.
Zerter-Gossage had his best weekend of the season thus far, helping Harvard earn a weekend split with No. 18 Arizona State. The senior scored three goals and added an assist in the two-game set, including a highlight reel breakaway goal in the teams 4-1 win on Friday.
Quinnipiac continued to roll this weekend, thanks in large part to Bongiovanni who led all rookies in scoring with his three points (2G, 1A). The Birmingham, Mich. native scored a pair of power play goals on Saturday to help lead the Bobcats to a 5-0 win against Colgate, completing the weekend sweep.
Kielly earns Goalie of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Golden Knights to a weekend sweep against Michigan Tech. The junior stopped 51 of the 53 shots he faced between Friday and Saturday for a .962 save percentage, allowing Clarkson to improve to 6-4 on the year.
