ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey announced the winner of the 2018-19 Student-Athlete of the Year award, and Devin Brosseau (Clarkson University) has been honored.
The Student-Athlete of the Year award recognizes the ECAC Hockey Student-Athlete who best displays excellence both on the ice and in the classroom.
Brosseau served as the captain for the Golden Knights this season, after serving as Assistant Captain during his sophomore season in 2017-18. He was a big part of Clarkson’s success on the ice, registering seven goals and seven assists for 14 points, which ranked third on the team.
He’s also been a leader off the ice, boasting a 3.974 GPA as a Financial Information Analysis major. The junior is involved in a number of community service activities in the Potsdam area, including organizing the Hockey Fights Cancer Night at Cheel Arena, spearheading the Golden Knights team IMPACT initiative, and volunteering in Potsdam’s annual Spring cleanup.
Devin’s impact on Clarkson hockey has been huge, as he’s established himself as a leader among his peers.
Clarkson’s season will continue this weekend when they take on Harvard University this Friday evening in the ECAC Hockey semifinals in Lake Placid.
