ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey announced on Tuesday that Casey Jones (Clarkson University) has been named the 2018-19 Coach of the Year.
Jones guided the Green and Gold to their second straight 20-win season this year, rounding out the regular-season with a 22-10-2 record, including 13-7-2 in ECAC Hockey play. His team has come on strong in the second half of the season, posting a 13-4-2 record after the winter break, including several wins over nationally-ranked opponents.
In his eighth season behind the bench for Clarkson, Jones has elevated Clarkson to national prominence, regularly ranking inside the top-15 in the national polls this year. The Golden Knights have been especially strong on their home ice, boasting a 12-3-1 mark in Cheel Arena, the fifth best home winning percentage in the nation.
