ALBANY, N.Y. - November was the first full month of the year for all 12 ECAC Hockey men’s programs, and the competition was strong. Harvard’s resurgent month landed them two players on the monthly honor roll in Adam Fox and Casey Dornbach, while Union’s Darion Hanson earns Goalie of the Month honors.
Fox led the league in scoring in November, registering 15 points (4G, 11A) in just eight games for an average of nearly two points-per-game. He recorded at least one point in every game Harvard played, including six multi-multi-point outings. The sophomore now leads the nation in scoring per-game, averaging 2.0 points through the teams first 10 contests.
Dornbach was also another key to Harvard’s big month, leading all freshman in the nation in scoring with his 14 points (2G, 12A). The Edina, Minn. native had five multi-point outings in November, including back-to-back three assist games against Cornell and Colgate to round out the month. His best outings came against nationally-ranked opponents, as Dornbach posted eight points (1G, 7A) in five games against nationally-ranked teams.
Hanson had a breakout month of November, leading the NCAA with a .972 save percentage and 0.97 goals-against-average. He finished the month with 104 saves (34.6 per-game), posting a 2-0-1 record. After a 34-save performance against Quinnipiac on November 10, the sophomore posted back-to-back 30+ save games against Yale and Boston University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, leading the Dutchmen to a “Friendship Four” title while earning MVP honors.
