Priskie breaks goals by a defensemen as Quinnipiac falls to 12/13 Clarkson

HAMDEN, Conn. – Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) broke the program record for career goals by a defenseman with his 39th goal Saturday night but the No. 5/6 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team fell to the No. 12/13 Clarkson Golden Knights, 5-3, on Senior Night.

Priskie came into the night one shy of the record before tying the mark with a beautiful coast-to-coast finish in the second period for his 38th career goal. Priskie broke the record with a one-timer off a pass from Craig Martin (Trail, British Columbia) early in the third period.

With two goals in Saturday's game, Priskie now has 17 on the season to re-claim the lead for most goals by a defenseman in the nation.

Alex Whelan (Ramsey, New Jersey) also scored for the Bobcats as he put home his 10th of the season to star the scoring in the later stages of the first period. He also added an assist for a two-point night.

Prior to puck drop, the Bobcats honored their five seniors as well as four senior students that have been a vital part of the program's support staff.
