Tucker shines as Yale is shutout by Dartmouth

NEW HAVEN, C.T. – Dartmouth scored just 2:34 after the opening faceoff and Big Green goalie Adrian Clark made it stand with 29 saves in a 3-0 win over Yale in ECAC Hockey action at Ingalls Rink.

Yale goalie Sam Tucker was very good tonight in his second start, stopping 25 of 26 shots and keeping the Elis close. He made a pair of spectacular glove saves in the second period about two minutes apart, one shorthanded and the other at even strength. That allowed the Blue to stay within a goal of the Big Green heading into the third frame.

The home team had a great opportunity to even the score on a power play with 6:54 left in the third trailing 1-0. The Elis moved the puck well, and got a Dante Palecco shot off the pipe, but it just wasn't the night for Yale puck luck.

The visitors potted a pair of empty-net goals after Tucker was pulled for an extra skater.
