Toledo, OH – Defenseman Ryan Obuchowski (oh-buh-cow-ski) has agreed to terms for the 2018-19 season with the Toledo Walleye.
Obuchowski, a West Bloomfield, Michigan native, appeared in every regular season and playoff game for the Walleye last season for a total of 82 contests. He scored five goals with 30 assists during his 72 games in the regular season while collecting 50 penalty minutes. The 26-year-old led the Walleye with an impressive plus 28, the fourth highest mark achieved by a player in Walleye history. In his first professional season, Obuchowski was a member of the Missouri Mavericks where he posted a pair of goals with 14 assists over 69 contests.
“Ryan is a smart, extremely solid defenseman who excelled for us last season,” said Head Coach Dan Watson. “His willingness to complete is impressive as he battles for every inch on the ice.”
