BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - The Brampton Beast of the ECHL announce today that forward Jake Wood has agreed to terms on a contract for the 2018-19 season. Wood is coming off of his rookie season in the SPHL and the ECHL.

“Wood is the type of player who leaves it all out on the ice. He’ll work his tail off and will agitate opponents,” said Beast Head Coach Colin Chaulk.

Wood started his career by being drafted into the United States Hockey League back in 2012. He was selected 43rd overall by the Lincoln Stars and went on to put up 26 points in 60 games for the squad.

Wood next ventured to the NCAA ranks where he suited up for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) over the course of four seasons. His best points total came in his third season, where he scored eight goals and 17 points in 40 contests.
