The Carolina Hurricanes chose Danny Biega with the 67th overall pick in the third round. Biega, a Montreal native who stands at 6-foot-0 and weighs 191 pounds, completed his freshman season at Harvard last season. The sophomore defender finished his first season with the Crimson netting five goals and adding four assists in 32 overall contests. His two older brothers, Alex and Michael, were teammates of Danny's with the Crimson last season.

Future Colgate forward Chris Wagner was selected in the fifth round Saturday afternoon by the Anaheim Ducks. An incoming freshmen this Fall, Wagner played last season as a right wing out of South Shore of the EJHL. The 6-0, 200-pounder put up 34 goals and 83 points in 44 games in 2009-10. Wagner was named the EJHL's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year after captaining his team to the Southern Division championship, matching the league's single-season scoring record and leading the league in goals and assists. Wagner made his debut with South Shore in 2008-09, earning 20g-14a-34pts with 72 PIM in 38 games.
