St. Lawrence's Madill and Trevelyan Ink NHL Deals
Recent St. Lawrence grads T.J. Trevelyan and Mike Madill have both signed National Hockey League contracts and will report to their respective camps shortly. Trevelyan, the ECAC Hockey League Player of the Year for the 2005-06 season inked a multi-year deal with the Boston Bruins, while Madill, the ECACHL's Best Defensive Defenseman this past season, is now under contract with the Minnesota Wild.
Trevelyan was a first-team All America selection and became the first Saint to earn back-to-back first-team all-league honors since Ron Mason in the early 1960s. T.J. was also just the second Saint player in program history to lead the ECACHL in both league and overall scoring, finishing his senior year with 20 goals and 28 assists for 48 points.
Madill, a first-team All League selection, did not miss a game in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and played in 151 consecutive games for the Saints. He is the SLU record holder in career games played with 154. He had five goals and 22 assists for 27 points in 40 games this past season and led the Saint defensemen with a plus-seven plus/minus rating.
