NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's hockey team started its climb into playoff position with a pair of wins in ECAC Hockey play last weekend. The road gets a bit steeper this weekend, as No. 3 Clarkson (Friday, 7 p.m.) and St. Lawrence (Saturday, 4 p.m.) visit Ingalls Rink. These teams feature the two players tied for the conference lead in goals and points, and they have a combined ECAC Hockey record of 15-4-3. Both games can be viewed live via Yale All-Access on yalebulldogs.com.

Yale (6-10-3, 4-7-1 ECAC Hockey) has been playing its best hockey of late, with a 3-1-1 mark in the last five games. Junior goalie Jackee Snikeris (Downingtown, Pa.) has been one of the driving forces behind that run, as she has stopped 97 of 104 shots (.933) in that span. Her shutout of Union last Friday gave her 11 for her career, one away from tying the school record set by Sarah Love '06.

The Bulldogs have also benefited from consistent contributions from their top line of sophomore Aleca Hughes (Westwood, Mass.), junior Bray Ketchum (Greenwich, Conn.) and freshman Alyssa Zupon (Basking Ridge, N.J.). Since returning from Thanksgiving break, that trio has accounted for 13 goals and 16 points in 10 games. Hughes brings a five-game scoring streak into Friday, and has at least one point in 10 of the last 11 games. Ketchum has a four-game scoring streak, and has at least one point in eight of the last 10 games. She has the team lead in goals with nine, while Zupon has the lead in assists with eight.
