Schwartz Getting New Lease on Life

SEATTLE -- Mandi Schwartz has had a good month.
August will turn out to be, quite literally, the month of her life
perhaps.
Schwartz, a 22-year-old member of the Yale women's hockey team,
was diagnosed in 2008 with acute myeloid leukemia. She needed a
stem cell transplant to survive and, for two years, a search to
find an adult bone marrow match was unsuccessful.
