Charity Game for Mandi

The following article featuring Yale foward Mandi Schwartz appeared in the July 6 issue of the Winnipeg Sun.

Local Winnipeg hockey players are rallying together to try and help Mandi Schwartz win her battle with leukemia.

Schwartz, a 22-year-old from Wilcox, Sask. who has been playing hockey for Yale University, has acute myeloid leukemia and her only hope to survive is to find a 10-point match in the very near future.

With that in mind, a 3-on-3 charity hockey tournament — billed as Match4Mandi — begins Tuesday and is being held at The RINK Training Centre at 91 Lowson Cres.
