Union Gives Back to the Game
SCHENECTADY, NY- On Sunday, October 10,
the Union Women’s Hockey team volunteered their time to help
with the Clifton Park Youth Hockey Association. The
entire team ran the tryouts for the U12 girls. They were
helping coach them through the various drills throughout the day
and stayed around after to talk with the girls and sign
autographs.
Said senior forward captiain Marissa Gentile:
"The Clifton Park "Try It' event was a great way to
promote the sports among the younger community. Our team
had a great time skating with the girls and we hope they enjoy the
game as much as we do.”
Senior defenseman captain Perri Maduri added, "We really enjoyed working with all the kids. We loved the opportunity to teach them more about the game of hockey and we hope they had as much fun as we did!"
