SCHENECTADY — In two years at the University of Maine, goalie Lundy Day appeared in just nine games, starting five of them. She had a 3-2-1 record with a 3.03 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage.

Day was unhappy there, and decided a change of scenery would be best for her.

“I didn’t feel I was getting my fair share [of playing time] at Maine,” Day said. “I love hockey, and I really wanted to play every game, as most athletes do.”
