Team Notes: Dutchwomen Begin Four-Game Homestand

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – After completing a three-game road trip, the Union College women’s ice hockey team (2-6-0, 0-2-0 ECACH) begins the month of November returning home to begin a four-game homestand starting with No. 10 Cornell (2-2-0, 2-0-0 ECACH) on Friday at 3 p.m., and Colgate (1-6-1, 0-1-1 ECACH) the next day at 2:30 p.m. Fans who can’t make the two games can follow the game through live video or live stats.

The Dutchwomen made a strong performance last Saturday at Princeton. Three players earned their first points on either their career or on the season. Starting with freshman forward Rhianna Kurio, who scored her first career goal in 16 seconds to give the Dutchwomen the lead. Sophomore forward Lauren Cromartie scored her first goal on the season with help from Kurio and sophomore defenseman Kayleigh Melia, who notched her first career assist.

Although she had a slow start early in the season, sophomore forward Émilie Arseneault has scored three goals in five games, tying senior defenseman Jackie Koetteritz. Junior forward Lauren Hoffman continues extending her team-leading points. After assisting Arseneault’s goal at Princeton, Hoffman has produced seven points in six goals, scoring two goals and recording a career-high of five assists.
