GRAND FORKS, ND -– Senior goaltender Lundy Day (Calgary, AB) will most like move into the second spot on the Union College women’s ice hockey all-time saves list during the Dutchwomen’s contests at North Dakota, beginning Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. (EST) and continuing Saturday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. (EST).
Day used a combined 106 saves against Wayne State last weekend
to bring her career total to 1,223. She trails Victoria Elkins
(2000-01), who has 1,334 saves, and Amanda Hanson (2003-07), who
has 1,896.
The Calgary, AB native is also second on the school’s career
save percentage list with a .903 mark. She sits behind
Elkins’ .909 posting.
