CANTON — If the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team wants to make the Frozen Four for the fifth time in the last six years, it is going to have to find a way to beat Mercyhurst College on the road and stop possibly the best forward in the nation.

SLU (24-10-3) will play the Lakers (29-5) at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa., in an NCAA quarterfinal game.

The Lakers are unbeaten at home this year, including a two-game sweep of SLU in a pair of nonconference games in mid-December. Forward Meghan Agosta, who has 38 goals and 37 assists, is one of the three finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award, and a 2006 Olympic gold medalist with the Canadian women's team.
