Team Notes: Saints Prepared and Focused for Title Chase

The St. Lawrence University women’s hockey team, ranked
fifth in the national polls entering 2009, will look to kick-start
the second half of their season when they welcome No. 7 Boston
College to Appleton Arena on Friday night.
The Saints finished the opening half of the season with an 11-4-3
record overall and a 6-1-1 mark in ECAC Hockey action. They are
only one point out of first place in the league with three games in
hand against both Dartmouth and Harvard.
“We have put ourselves in a solid position in the ECAC
Hockey standings heading into the second half,” remarked
first year head coach Chris Wells. “We’ve faced a very
tough schedule thus far and will need to play with both confidence
and discipline to maintain our current standing in the
conference.”
