Guay, Harbec Earn All-America Honors
CANTON, N.Y. -- St. Lawrence University senior defenseman Annie Guay and senior forward Sabrina Harbec have been named 2007-2008 RBK Hockey/AHCA Women's Division I All-Americans for the third consecutive season. Both players earned Second-Team honors for the second time in their careers.
Harbec finished her career with the Saints as the program's all-time leader in goals, assists, points, short-handed goals and multi-point games. She landed Second Team All-American honors thanks to a 52-point season that included 18 goals and 34 assists in 37 games. The St. Hubert, Quebec native was a First Team All-American in 2006 and was a Second Team choice last year.
Guay also closed the book on a record-setting career this month, as she will leave St. Lawrence as the all-time leader in goals, assists and points by a defenseman for both a season and career. The Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec native became the first blue-liner to ever reach the 100 career point mark in St. Lawrence University history. She earned Second Team All-American honors with a 29-point campaign that included four goals and 25 assists in 32 games.
