The No. 9 St. Lawrence University women’s hockey team, coming off their final bye weekend of the season, will look to continue their winning ways as they open the 2008-09 ECAC Hockey regular season schedule at Yale and Brown this weekend.

The Saints (3-1-2, 0-0-0) are coming off of a sweep of CHA foe Robert Morris on October 24 and 25, as the Scarlet and Brown outscored the Colonials during the series 10-1. Junior Brittony Chartier earned her first shutout at St. Lawrence and managed to earn ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week honors for the second time this season.

“Brittony (Chartier) really came up big for us against a tough Robert Morris team that had already knocked off Minnesota this season,” said St. Lawrence head coach Chris Wells. “Our offense was able to build two key leads and she closed the door.”
