Feature: Guckian Still Uses Select Camp Tips

When St. Lawrence University senior Meaghan Guckian was first learning how to play hockey in her hometown of Victor, N.Y., her brothers Connor, Dan and Sean didn't exactly cut her any slack.
"I started out as a forward and I stuck with that for a couple of years," recalled Guckian, who attended the USA Hockey Girls' Select Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y., from 2002-2004. "But my brothers started putting me in net because I was the most easily accessible person to do that. I had to fall in line.
"It was mostly street hockey games and it was like target practice."
