Semifinals Spot Big Feat for RPI

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute women’s hockey coach John
Burke thought it would take his team five years to reach its the
ECAC Hockey tournament final four.
Maybe it’s good Burke isn’t a meteorologist,
because Burke’s forecast was two years off.
In just their third year in the ECACH women’s league, the
Engineers are in their first semifinal. Sixth-seeded RPI
(18-13-4) will face top-seeded Harvard (19-9-3) in the first
semifinal at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bright Hockey Center. The other
semifinal has second-seeded St. Lawrence (24-9-3) taking on
fourth-seeded Dartmouth (18-9-4) at 4 p.m.
