Team Notes: Bobcats Square Off with RPI And Union

The Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey team will head to
Rensselaer and Union this weekend in their first ECAC Hockey
match-ups since Jan. 8 and 9. The Bobcats will take on the
Engineers first on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by the contest with
the Dutchwomen on Saturday at 4 p.m. In its last outing, Quinnipiac
completed a weekend sweep of Wayne State University at the TD Bank
Sports Center on Jan. 22 and 23.
Scouting the Engineers
Rensselaer currently posts a 10-10-5 overall record with a 7-4-3
record (17 points) in ECAC Hockey, tying for fourth place in the
conference with Quinnipiac and Princeton. Senior forward Whitney
Naslund and Allison Wright lead the team offensively, as they each
have tallied 19 points on the year. Junior goaltender Sonja van der
Bliek has seen most time in net for Rensselaer this season, playing
in 23 games where she has posted a .918 save percentage.
Scouting the Dutchwomen
Union has recorded a 5-20-1 overall record on the year with a
1-12-1 record (3 points) in conference action. The Dutchwomen are
led by sophomore forward Lauren Hoffman who has tallied eight
points thus far this season. Freshman goaltender Alana Marcinko has
seen action in 20 games this season, posting a .915 save
percentage.
