Babstock Keeps Rising

Kelly Babstock says she models her playing style after National Hockey League superstar Alexander Ovechkin.
And just like the Washington Capitals forward burst onto the scene in 2005, the Mississauga hockey player — who, like Ovechkin, wears No. 8 on her jersey — is turning heads in her freshman year at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, leading the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in scoring.
Prior to the start of the season, Babstock wanted only to contribute to the Quinnipiac Bobcats' women's squad. Needless to say, she's exceeded expectations.
