Team Notes: Bobcats Travel to No. 10 Syracuse

For the first time in program history, the Quinnipiac University
women's ice hockey team will travel to upstate New York to take on
the No. 10-ranked Syracuse for a non-conference weekend series. The
Bobcats and the Orange will first face off on Friday at 7 p.m.,
followed by a 2 p.m. start on Saturday. In their last weekend of
play, the Bobcats swept Dartmouth and No. 5-ranked Harvard at the
TD Bank Sports Center on Jan. 8 and 9.
Scouting the Orange
No. 10-ranked Syracuse currently posts a 13-8-1 overall record
with a 4-2-0 record in CHA conference play. The second-year program
most recently defeated Saint Anslem, 7-2, on Jan. 8. Freshman
forward Isabel Menard leads the Orange offensively, scoring 10
goals and adding 17 assists so far on the year. Senior goaltender
Lucy Schoedel has seen action in 22 games for Syracuse and holds a
.916 save percentage. The Orange posts a 4-2 record against ECAC
Hockey teams this season.
Get Out the Brooms
Quinnipiac earned their second weekend sweep of the 2009-10 season
on Jan. 8 and 9 when they defeated Dartmouth and No. 5-Harvard at
the TD Bank Sports Center. The 1-0 victory against Harvard was the
first in program history while it was the second program win
against Dartmouth.
